When it came time to securing the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race for Nova Scotia, we jumped into action. Our team prepared and submitted the winning bid document, chaired the organizing committee and secured critical partnerships, including Enterprise Cape Breton Corporation (ECBC).

 

  • This event featured 10 racing yachts, representing different countries from all around the globe competing.

 

  • The Nova Scotia stopover, which included Halifax and Sydney, was the twelfth of 14 port visits on the race’s 65,000-kilometre circumnavigational route.

 

  • The Nova Scotia clipper yacht saw a global audience of more than 200 million people and produced a projected $8-million media value· The Nova Scotian week-long  stopover, June 8 to 16, 2008, offered a lasting impact over and above the $4 million it injected into the province’s economy

 

  • The Nova Scotia clipper yacht itself reached a global audience of more than 200 million people and produced a projected $8-million in media exposure value

 

  • The Democracy 250 Cup from Halifax to Sydney was a race within the race and featured all ten yachts flying the D250 flag and competing in this promotional event which included the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Heritage on board the “Nova Scotia”

 

Our team also managed outbound activation around the globe at other host ports and managed the boat branding on behalf of NovaScotia.com.
